Weinbrecht update

Well, actually, there’s nothing all that new to share. We start our days (at around 5am) getting ready for our respective routines—John goes and swims hard with his Masters team each AM while I walk over to the Shala for my morning yoga practice. After a bit of breakfast, our day begins. John continues his job search, narrowing even more his parameters on what qualifies as his ‘dream job.’ He has interesting things in play, and we have the strong feeling things will be resolved by the end of July. In the meantime, we are enjoying all the time together. Our dog, Appie, loves having her ‘daddy’ at home all day. Here she is for those who have never met our puppie:

It will be hard to adjust to having him gone again, for both Appie and I. We’re getting quite used to the lifestyle! Though the inflow of cash will be awfully nice!!!

I continue to plug away on the final chapter (boy that sounds good!) of my dissertation. I am hoping to have the entire writing process completed by the end of the summer and hopefully the thesis defended sometime in the fall. I doubt that I’ll be looking for a ‘job’ so much as looking for ways to bring in some money while I get some of my writing published. I’m exploring the idea of part-time teaching as well as possibly doing some freelance tutoring or other ways I might support what I hope is a budding writing career! Time will tell of course, but for now, I’ll just be thrilled with getting this dissertation completed and my degree, finally, under my belt!
